Work with Ryan

I help people stay curious, support each other, & build better things.

I work with leaders, teams, educators, creators, nonprofits, public agencies, and mission-focused organizations that want clearer communication, stronger group dynamics, more curiosity, and more practical support. My work sits at the intersection of experiential education, workplace culture, leadership, neurodivergence, and public storytelling. Sometimes that looks like a workshop. Sometimes it looks like a facilitated conversation. Sometimes it looks like team development, speaking, or helping a group make sense of what is getting in its own way.The goal is not corporate theater. The goal is to help people think more clearly, support each other better, and build systems that make more sense.

What I offer

Custom team development & retreats

I design custom experiences for teams that need better communication, stronger trust, clearer direction, or a better way to work together.

In other words

I do not show up with the same recycled activities for every group. I learn about your people, your goals, your tension points, and what you are actually trying to improve. Then I build the experience around that. This could be a staff retreat, leadership team session, department training, group development day, or something built around a specific challenge your team is facing.

Creative strategy & idea facilitation

I help creators, leaders, teams, and organizations focus ideas.

In other words

You may have too many ideas, half-shaped ideas, or a good idea buried under a pile of noise. I can help you sort through it, name what matters, and figure out what direction actually fits your values, audience, team, or mission. This is especially useful for creative people, neurodivergent groups, public agencies, nonprofits, and teams that need help turning scattered energy into something usable.

Experiential education

I help people understand complex ideas through experience, not just explanation. Sometimes that means hands-on learning. Sometimes it means public programs, environmental education, science communication, video, storytelling, new technology, or an event people can actually feel and remember.

In other words

If you need people to understand an idea, I can help you find a better way to show it.That might be a viral video, a park program, a launch event, a public science experience, a staff workshop, a community event, a story beat, a product idea, or something we have to invent because the normal version would be boring or useless. The tool is not the point. The point is whether people get it.

Who this is for

I only take on a small number of client projects each year because I want the work to be specific, useful, and built around the real people in the room. That said, I’m happy to hear what you’re working on. If it seems like a good fit, we can talk through what might make sense. If it’s not the right fit, I’ll be honest about that too.

This work may be a good fit if you are

Leading a team that needs more clarity, trust, curiosity, or support.Planning a staff retreat, workshop, training, or group development experience that should feel practical instead of performative.Trying to improve communication, collaboration, creativity, or decision-making inside a real organization with real constraints.Looking for someone who can talk honestly about leadership, workplace culture, neurodivergence, public service, education, science, and systems without turning it into corporate sludge.Building a mission-driven project, event, conversation, or learning experience and need help shaping it into something people can actually connect with.

This is probably not the right fit if

you want a canned keynote, a quick morale fix, a buzzword-heavy leadership session, or someone to pretend your system is healthier than it is.
